In Victoria, long service leave runs under the Long Service Leave Act 2018 (Vic), administered by Workforce Inspectorate Victoria. 1 week for every 60 weeks of continuous service (0.8667 weeks a year), and the leave can be taken from 7 years. On termination after 7 years, unused leave is paid out whatever the reason, with no misconduct exclusion.
There is no pro-rata band in Victoria: nothing is payable below 7 years, and from 7 years the accrued leave is paid out on termination for any reason.
Casual and seasonal employees accrue long service leave while employment is continuous; a gap of up to 12 weeks between engagements (or longer in some cases) keeps it continuous. Ordinary weekly rate for normal weekly hours when the leave is taken or employment ends. If hours changed in the last 2 years, Victoria averages hours over the last 52 weeks, 260 weeks or the whole employment, whichever is greatest. A casual's ordinary rate includes the casual loading.
