For multi-site businesses

Forty locations.
One culture you can see.

Compono Engage is an employee engagement platform for centrally owned networks: clinic groups, retail chains, hospitality groups and childcare operators. It measures culture site by site, so you can see where the standard holds and where it does not, and hire to the same benchmark everywhere. If rostering is the problem, buy workforce management.

How it shows up for multi-site businesses

An area manager visiting a site, talking with two staff beside the racking

Regional managers hiring on instinct

A site is short-staffed, the roster is exposed, and the area manager hires the first person who can start Monday. It solves this week. It is also how a location quietly becomes a team that nobody would have built on purpose.

59% of recruiting employers were replacing someone who had left, and 41% could not fill the vacancy within a month.

No culture data you can put side by side

One site ran a survey last year, another ran a different one, and head office has a company-wide score that flattens both. Without one instrument asked the same way everywhere, comparing locations is guesswork with a chart on it.

One in five employees engaged worldwide in 2025, and roughly $10 trillion of lost productivity, about 9% of global GDP.

Training completed, capability still missing

Completion sits at 98% across the network and two locations still cannot run a shift without a supervisor on the floor. The report says everyone finished. It says nothing about who can actually do the work.

Average turnover of 15%, with 27% of organisations losing a fifth or more of their people in a year, while output runs about 53% higher a year after a hire.

Everything a good system tracks.
And what only Compono finds.

Compono Hire

An applicant tracking system (ATS) that holds the standard locally

  • Like any ATSLocal job ads, applicants and pipeline stages
  • And what only Compono findsWho fits the standard head office set

Hire lets site and regional managers post roles, review applicants, move people through the pipeline and make the offer themselves, which is the applicant tracking system job done locally. They work from templates and a culture benchmark head office built, and every candidate is scored against the role and the team. A rushed hire in a short-staffed location is still a scored one.

Compono Develop

A learning management system (LMS) that shows who is genuinely covered

  • Like any LMSCourse assignment, completion rates and licence expiries
  • And what only Compono findsWhich locations are one resignation away from a gap

Develop assigns onboarding and compliance training by role and by site and tracks the completion rate, the way any learning management system does. Certificates, registrations and licence expiries sit on the person's record, so you can see which locations are genuinely covered and which are one resignation away from not being.

Common questions

Yes, Compono Hire is a full applicant tracking system, and for a network the useful part is that the standard sits centrally while the hiring happens locally. Head office owns the job templates and the culture benchmark. Site managers do the work and see only their own location.

Yes, and that is the reason most networks start with Engage. Culture is measured across 12 validated dimensions, current against desired, and reported by location, region and team. One instrument everywhere means site 3 and site 31 are genuinely comparable rather than roughly comparable.

Yes. Managers post roles, review applicants, progress candidates and make offers from their own device, using templates head office built. Candidates are scored against the role, the team and the culture benchmark, so a fast local hire is still measured against the standard you set centrally.

Yes. The Coffee Club runs the hiring side across 400 stores in 9 countries, and G8 Education runs learning across an early education group. Reporting is built to be cut by location and region, so the number of sites changes the size of the view rather than the way it works.

Yes. A site manager sees their own location. A regional manager sees their region. Head office sees the network. Culture results, hiring activity, training records and licence expiries all carry the location, which is what makes the comparison between sites possible in the first place.

Beside it, and it replaces neither rostering nor payroll. Compono does not roster shifts and does not interpret awards. If the problem you are solving is rostering, buy workforce management. If it is who you hire and how each site behaves, that is this.

Pricing is by total headcount rather than per location. From 100 to 500 people, one product runs circa $7k to $13k AUD a year depending on the band, and a second product comes down by about 30%. Bands are published, so every network your size sees the same numbers.

Compono is built in Australia and New Zealand and works with networks operating across English-speaking markets. Data is hosted in Australia and New Zealand wherever your locations sit, and we are ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified. Registration and screening records handle the local scheme in each market.

Talk to us about the gap between your best site and your worst.

Tell us how many locations you run and who hires in them today. We will show you what the culture comparison looks like and what each manager would see, and tell you if rostering is the thing you should be buying.
