For hospitality

Hire for the floor.
Keep them past summer.

Compono Hire is an applicant tracking system (ATS) for venues, groups, franchises and clubs that hire at volume and lose people at volume. It runs the posting and the pipeline any hiring tool runs, and finds fit, so a duty manager sees who will still be there in March. If award interpretation is the job, buy a rostering platform.

The kitchen roles you need most are the hardest to get

Cook sits in national shortage on the 2025 Occupation Shortage List, with Chef, Senior Chef and Pastrycook in regional shortage. Posting the ad harder does not produce a chef.

A casual workforce means hiring never stops

There were 2.4 million casual employees in Australia in August 2025, 19% of all employees, and venues run on that pool. Most of those hiring calls get made by a manager at the end of a shift.

Fast decisions with nothing on file about how the person actually works.

One brand, a different feel in every venue

Jobs and Skills Australia puts retention at the centre of shortages in service roles, alongside pay and conditions. Retention is a local story, and head office sees the averages rather than the two venues driving them.

Everything a good system tracks.
And what only Compono finds.

Compono Engage

The employee engagement platform that shows how each venue really runs

  • Like any engagement platformEngagement scores and response rates, venue by venue
  • And what only Compono findsWhy good people leave one venue and stay at another

Engage runs the staff survey and gives you the score for every venue. Culture is then measured across 12 dimensions, current against desired, venue by venue. You find the two sites where good people are leaving for reasons nobody wrote down on the way out.

Compono Develop

The learning management system (LMS) that finds the gap behind the completions

  • Like any LMSInduction assignment, completions and certificate currency
  • And what only Compono findsThe gap behind the completion

Develop delivers induction, food safety, service standards and role training the same way in every venue, with certificate currency recorded against the person rather than in a folder behind the bar. Assessment inside the pathway shows the gap behind the completion.

Common questions

Yes. Compono Hire is an applicant tracking system (ATS) built for venues that hire at volume. It runs the pipeline from advert to offer and keeps every applicant in one place. What it adds is the fit read: each applicant profiled against the role and the venue team, so the shortlist is ranked on evidence.

That is the normal setup. Head office builds the job templates and the standard, and venue managers run hiring against it from a phone. HR sees every requisition and every hire across the group without approving each one.

Yes. You can hold a talent pool of people who have already applied and already been profiled, then invite from it when a shift gap opens. That is how a group refills quickly in December without starting from a blank ad.

Yes. Certificates are recorded against the person with an expiry date, so currency is visible by venue and by role. Compono records and reminds. It does not issue the certificate or interpret an award.

One account, with each venue as its own hiring location. You set the templates and the standard centrally while hiring happens locally, and reporting rolls up by venue, state, brand or region. A single venue can be live in days and a whole group usually takes a few weeks. Franchise groups use the same structure.

No. Compono does not roster, interpret awards, run payroll or handle timesheets. It sits beside the platform that does, and handles the part that one cannot: who to hire, and what your people can actually do.

Pricing follows a size band, so every organisation in a band sees the same numbers. Under 100 people, one product sits around $5.5k to $6.5k AUD a year, and a second product comes down by about 30%. The pricing page carries the detail.

Compono is built and hosted in Australia and New Zealand, and the postings and the certificate records are written to travel. Data is hosted in Australia and New Zealand wherever your team sits. The certificate changes name by market, and the way Compono records it does not.

Tell us how many venues you run and what keeps falling over. We will show you the part of the platform that fixes it, on a pipeline like yours, and say so plainly if rostering is the real problem.
