Four questions. About two minutes.
How you prefer to work is not how everyone works.
Work Personality maps your preferences against the kinds of work high-performing teams rely on, and gives you one of eight types. It is not a measure of ability. One person thinks out loud and decides fast, another needs quiet first. Neither is wrong, and most friction at work starts in that gap.
The short version
You are not difficult to work with. You are working in a way that has never been named, alongside people doing the same thing.
Eight types.
One for each kind of work.
The framework starts from the work, not the person. Research identifies eight kinds of work teams need covered. A team missing one is not a team with a bad culture. It is a team with a gap, and gaps are fixable once you can see them.
That is the difference between a personality quiz and a work personality assessment. A quiz tells you about yourself. This tells a leader what their team is missing.
Tap a segment to see what each type brings, and where each one gets stuck.
The Evaluator
"Let's weigh up our options!"
Tests the thinking and finds the risk before it finds you.
Read the full Evaluator page →Eight types, one of them is yours.
Not sure which one is yours? Take the assessment → Four questions. About two minutes.
The same moment, four different reactions.
The scenario
The deadline just moved forward by two weeks. Same work, less time, and the team finds out in the meeting.
THE PIONEER
"Then let's cut the bits nobody will miss."
Reaches for a different approach rather than a faster version of the same one. Give them room to reshape the plan, not just compress it.
THE AUDITOR
"Which checks are we dropping, and who signs that off?"
The risk is real and someone has to own it. Answer the question directly or it will surface later, louder.
THE DOER
"Send me the list. I'll start now."
Already moving before the meeting ends. Make sure the list is right, because it will get done exactly as written.
THE HELPER
"Who's carrying the most here?"
Watching for the person who will quietly absorb the extra. Worth listening to before someone burns out.
What you actually get.
Not a score out of ten, and not a label you have to explain to anyone. A type, what it means for the work you do, and something worth sending to the people around you.

THE TWO ASSESSMENTS
What this assessment is, and what it is not.
This one is the short version. Four questions, two minutes, one of eight types. Useful on its own, and honest about its limits.
The full assessment sits inside the Compono platform. It is more precise, it covers more ground, and it is built to make decisions you can defend. This page is the introduction to it.
This page
The short assessment. Four questions. One of eight types. Free, and a strong indication rather than a diagnosis.
The platform
The validated assessment. Psychometrically validated, measured by degree, and detailed enough to make decisions you can defend.
"The use of Work Personality was instrumental in helping our team members understand and appreciate each other's unique personalities. Our employees gained deeper insights into their personality types and how to work together to leverage individual strengths."
Dani Gilligan
Human Resources Manager, QIB Group
One result is interesting. Eight of them is a map.
One person
A conversation starter. It explains why you and a colleague keep approaching the same problem from opposite ends.
A whole team
A map. It shows which kinds of work are covered twice over, and which are not covered at all.
Compono is a people and culture platform built on that principle. Work Personality runs through hiring, culture and development, so the insight does not sit in a report read once. Most workforce tools manage the process well. Compono does that and adds what the process cannot see, which is who your people actually are.
Common questions
-
Is Work Personality the same as Myers-Briggs?
No, though they share a starting point. Both draw on Carl Jung's psychological types, and this short assessment uses the same four preference pairs. The difference is what happens next: Myers-Briggs describes a person, Work Personality maps that person against the kinds of work a team needs covered. The validated version in the platform also measures preference by degree rather than either or, which answers one of the more serious criticisms of type-based instruments.
-
How long does the assessment take?
About two minutes. Four questions, then your result.
-
How accurate is the short version?
Read it as a strong indication, not a diagnosis. Four either-or choices capture direction rather than degree. Use the validated version in the platform for hiring or development decisions.
-
Can I use this with my team?
Yes, and it is more useful that way. Send everyone the link, then compare results in your next team meeting. The full picture across a whole team, including where the gaps sit, lives in the platform.
-
What happens to my answers?
We email your result and send practical content you can opt out of at any time. The privacy policy sets out the detail.
-
Is there a cost?
No. The short assessment is free.
Start with yourself.
Two minutes, four questions, and one of eight types. Then the more interesting question, which is what happens when the people you work with know theirs too.
