One standard, every organisation.
How PeakCare Queensland uses Compono to deliver approved training across a whole sector.
PeakCare Queensland is the peak body for the state’s non-government child, youth and family services. It represents and supports organisations across the sector through advocacy, practice development, sector engagement, sector development and workforce initiatives, including training.
Training is one of the ways PeakCare supports the sector. Its best-known program, Hope and Healing, provides online learning and development for Queensland’s residential care and foster care sectors. Alongside Hope and Healing, PeakCare delivers additional training and professional development opportunities, including:
- Positive Behaviour Support & Managing High-Risk Behaviours
- Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness
- Water Safety Awareness
Further learning resources continue to be developed proactively to the needs of the sector.
Training across this sector had long been inconsistent. Different organisations delivered different versions of the same course, records lived in different places, and there was no single view of who had completed what. For a peak body working to lift a whole sector to one standard, that fragmentation is the problem to solve.
PeakCare wanted one place where it could build a course once, make it available to every organisation in the sector, and know that everyone was working from the current, approved version. That is the job Develop does.
PeakCare builds and maintains its courses in Clui, utilising a mixture of module types including SCORM, approval, forms, files and certificates, and runs them for the sector from a single LMS. That one LMS holds the courses and the record of every completion across participating organisations.
Setting up each organisation as a group
Each organisation is set up as its own group in Clui, separating learners and records while enabling shared use of sector-wide courses across dozens of organisations.
Giving each organisation control of its own users
PeakCare delegates user management by giving each organisation's administrators control to invite learners, assign courses, approve completions, and generate reports for their own group, allowing PeakCare to support the sector efficiently without managing daily administration.
Tracking every completion
Clui tracks progress and completions to issue required certificates, providing verifiable proof that staff have completed mandatory sector training.
Compono Develop's group functionality has been incredibly important in enabling PeakCare to successfully deliver Hope and Healing at Scale. As an extremely small organisation supporting thousands of learners across the sector, we simply wouldn’t have the capacity to. Compono allows us to give organisations the visibility and control to manage their own learners, while PeakCare can focus on maintaining and improving training opportunities and supporting group administrators when they need us. That model has allowed us to deliver consistent training across a large and diverse sector in a way that is both manageable and sustainable for our team"

One platform, centrally managed course content, and a clean record of who has completed what, across a whole sector rather than a single organisation. PeakCare provides the training and sets the standard, each participating organisation manages its own learners, and Develop holds it together.
