Modern Slavery Position Statement

Endorsed: Rudy Crous, CEO

Published: July 2026

Our commitment

Compono is committed to conducting business ethically and to identifying, preventing and addressing the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain. We uphold the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and support the intent of the legislation.

About Compono

Compono is an Australian workforce intelligence SaaS provider connecting hiring, culture, capability and competence. We employ approximately 50 people and operate primarily in Australia. Our operations are technology and knowledge based, which we recognise carries a lower inherent modern slavery risk than sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture or construction.

Our operations and supply chain

Our supply chain consists mainly of cloud infrastructure and software providers, professional services, content partners, and standard corporate goods and services. We assess our highest residual risk areas to be lower-tier suppliers of hardware, facilities services, and offshore labour that may sit within our vendors' own supply chains.

How we manage risk

Compono maintains a governance framework supported by our ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 9001 (quality management) certifications. Our approach includes:

  • Selecting reputable, established suppliers and favouring those with their own ethical sourcing and modern slavery commitments
  • Fair and lawful employment practices for all Compono staff, including lawful wages, safe conditions and freedom of association
  • A staff code of conduct and a whistleblowing policy, with an ethical procurement policy currently being developed to further strengthen our framework
  • Reviewing modern slavery risk as part of our vendor due diligence

Continuous improvement

We will continue to strengthen our supplier due diligence, keep this position under regular review, and cooperate with our customers' own modern slavery reporting and due diligence requirements.
