tools most companies use to manage this are incomplete. HR and safety teams were  drowning in administrative chaos, struggling to maintain accurate, up-to-date records of  certifications, Verification of Competency (VOC) outcomes, and associated renewal dates.  Juggling multiple systems to verify capabilities and deliver e-learning created massive  friction. Worse, keeping physical assessment evidence intact with an employee's digital  competency record was a fragmented mess, turning the process of collating evidence for  audits into a time-consuming nightmare.

One Platform for Competency and Learning.

Compono Develop stepped in to encapsulate all VOC processes and e-learning into a  single, user-friendly Learning Management System (LMS). The platform utilised in-built  course modules to support seamless VOC workflows for both certification checks and in-person assessments.

Assessors could now complete standardised forms directly within the  system, meaning no separate assessment documents lived outside the LMS. Courses were  configured to automatically reset on a specific schedule, such as annually, ensuring verification checks repeated exactly when required. The system also streamlined workflows  by notifying specific assessors when assessments were due, and notifying employees’  managers when certifications required approval.
