Our CEO Rudy Crous just told the Australian Financial Review what everyone's thinking but won't say about AI-generated CVs:

"Employers are placing less emphasis or importance or trust in CVs now that so many are written by AI."

Translation: The resume is dead. And everyone knows it.

Rudy co-founded Compono in 2017 because he saw companies treating hiring like a paper-shuffling exercise instead of understanding people. Now, nine years later, the problem's worse.

His advice to job seekers? "Keep it simple and clear." Understand your strengths, blind spots, and communication style. Then articulate that confidently. "Self-awareness is now a genuine career advantage."

His advice to employers? Stop pretending resumes predict performance. "Roles are changing quickly. And employers are looking just as much at personality and behaviour fit as they are for technical skills."

A clean CV is the best strategy, but these AI tools "aren't clairvoyant." They can list skills, but they can't show what matters: behaviour, motivation, cultural fit, personality.
