About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Stonemason to become part of our successful team.
What you will do:
- Cutting and shaping stones using machines or hand tools
- Selecting the best stone for the job
- Laying stone paving
- Constructing walls using stone slabs
- Repairing stone facades
- Cutting and polishing marble and granite construction elements, such a bathroom vanities and kitchen benchtops
- Designing, cutting and carving masonry, including headstone lettering and details
- Read and interpret blueprints and plans
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Certificate III in Stonemasonry
- Valid construction induction (white card)
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently, unsupervised and problem solve
- Demonstrate attention to detail, be punctual and reliable
- Have a positive attitude and take pride in your work
- Be quality driven and competent to complete jobs according to plans and specifications
