About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly dedicated Health and Safety Officer to join our team.
What you will do:
- Conducting Risk/Hazard Management tasks, including Incident prevention & investigation, auditing and corrective action follow up
- Providing advice and education to managers and staff regarding safety practices and procedures
- Coordinating safety compliance activities and assisting with return-to-work programs
- Providing analytical reports to management on safety incidents and training requirements
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Qualification in Work Health & Safety
- Construction White Card
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Experienced with Work Health & Safety legislation
- Confident in providing advice, education & training on all aspects of safety and assist in competency assessment
- Zealous in approach to Safety – evidenced by actions and assertiveness
- Able to show previous success in transforming the workplace (i.e. ‘raising the bar’) in relation to safety and Continuous Improvement focus
