About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Driller to become part of our successful team.
What you will do:
- Preparing mining sites prior to drilling
- Moving, assembling and operating drilling rigs and machinery
- Taking core samples
- Performing maintenance and repairs and cleaning drilling equipment
- Recording performance details and keeping logs of operations
- Undertaking development work such as opening up new shafts
- Positioning explosives in bore holes and detonating explosives
- Monitoring drilling operations for safety
- Operating pumps to extract air, water and other waste
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Certificate III in Drilling Oil and Gas (Onshore) or Drilling Operations preferred
- Construction White Card
- Manual Drivers Licence
- Effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
