About the Role
Due to the continuous success and growth of our team, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Buyer.
What you will do:
- Stay up to date on consumer trends and market conditions to determine a purchasing strategy
- Decide on quantities, style and quality of goods for purchase
- Negotiate purchasing and promotional arrangements with suppliers
- Work with store managers to create long-term buying strategies
- Use budgets and seasonal trends to determine product mix
- Monitor stock levels and analyse sales data
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience as a Buyer or Store Manager with exposure to the buying process
- Understanding of buying and planning principles
- Understanding of product importing and buying procedures
- Can forecast and analyse upcoming trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Certificate III in Retail or Certificate IV in Retail Management a bonus
