About the Role
We have an opportunity for an Automotive Mechanic to become part of our successful team.
What you will do:
- Maintain, test and repair petrol engines and the mechanical parts of motor vehicle
- Identify faults and ensure the smooth function of transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components in order to check parts
- Repair and replace worn and defective parts
- Assemble mechanical components
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Licenced Vehicle Tester (LVT) a bonus
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently, unsupervised and problem solve
- Demonstrate attention to detail, be punctual and reliable
- Have a positive attitude and take pride in your work
- Be quality driven and competent to complete jobs according to plans and specifications
