Follow our monthly product updates as we share the latest features to help you strategically design and develop teams and the work environment.

It's been a while between drinks on this blog. The product team has been heads-down on the next wave of AI features (we'll start sharing those in the coming weeks), but in the middle of all that, three releases have shipped that change how you work in Compono Hire day-to-day. Worth catching you up.

This cutting-edge feature will help you better understand your teams, boost their performance, and foster collaboration with fewer headaches.

A redesigned candidate application view

The screen recruiters spend the most time on has had a serious rework. Matching scores, AI-generated CV summary, employment and location preferences, documents, skills, qualifications, and the full Organisation Fit picture (work personality, culture fit, job fit) all live on a single scrollable page. No more clicking between tabs to piece a candidate together.

A few things you'll notice straight away:

  • One screen, full picture. Everything that used to live behind tabs is now visible as you scroll. Easier to read, easier to share, easier to export to PDF for hiring managers.
  • Cycle through your shortlist without losing your place. Apply your filters once and the matching candidates pin to a left-hand list. Click through them without bouncing back to the main page, and use the Next and Prev buttons at the bottom of the list to keep moving.
  • An AI summary of the CV at the top. A quick read of who you're looking at before you open the original document.
  • Quick actions where you need them. Move a candidate to the next stage, invite a talent pool candidate, tag, or add a note, all from the top of the page.

A head start on every application

When a CV lands in Compono, our AI parses it and pre-fills the candidate's profile: work history, skills, work areas, qualifications, and professional links. The candidate still reviews, verifies, and submits, but they're starting from a working draft rather than a blank screen.

What that means for you:

  • Candidates land in your shortlist with a meaningful match score the moment they apply
  • More candidates make it through to a complete, scoreable application
  • Unverified information is clearly flagged on both sides, so you always know what's been confirmed by the candidate and what's been generated from their CV

New roles for hiring managers and reviewers

Recruitment isn't a one-person job, but Compono's permissions structure didn't reflect that as well as it should. An additional two new roles fix it:

The Hiring Manager

Often a department head or team lead, this person isn't looking through a standard HR lens. Instead, they’re searching for a peer who brings fresh value, enriches the existing team dynamic, and drives long-term success.

The Reviewer

Usually an individual contributor or key stakeholder, the Reviewer is the engine of the evaluation process. They are primarily involved in shortlisting and interviewing, diving deep into the "how" to assess technical proficiency and ensure the candidate has the tangible skills to succeed in the role.

Both roles keep the people who have a stake in the hire in the loop, without giving them access to tools and information they don't need.

What's coming next

And a quick mention for anyone who hasn't come across it yet: Hey Compono, our standalone AI coach, is now live. It's voice-first, built on the same organisational psychology that powers the platform, and it helps your people practise the conversations they'd rather avoid. Worth a look at heycompono.com
